About
Stitch 'n' Kitsch is a group of independent artisans based in the Waterloo region in Ontario. We’re the oldest craft collective in KW, holding our first shows around 2003 as a fun way for local indie-craft artisans to offer each other support and information and has grown over the years. As a collective, we strive to promote both emerging and established artisans locally.
About our handmade markets
We’ve grown since the our first show of about a dozen artists. Our shows have a focus on quality and creativity (and, of course, a bit of kitsch) in all our artisans.
Up until December 2019, our markets were juried based on applications from talented artists and crafters in the Region. We took a hiatus from organizing shows in 2020 because … well, you know.
Since getting back on the craft show scene in December 2022, we’ve held invitational shows featuring artists who participated in the past and reaching out to other artists in the community. As a group of volunteers, this works with the capacity we have right now. We hope to get back to doing juried shows and will make a splash when we do.
